Group marches on Government House over seized medical files
Around 60 people gathered Friday at Government House to peacefully call upon the Governor to order the Police to return patient files seized in an investigation into former Premier Ewart Brown.
Many in the group wielded large signs stating “we want our files back”, with some elderly members of the group, themselves affected patients, struggling to walk up the steps to the north gate.
At least four representatives of the group including former MP Glenn Blakeney, LaVerne Furbert and Glenn Simmons, went inside to meet the Governor, John Rankin, to hand over a letter expressing their concerns over the files.
Tari Trott was on the scene.
